The classic South Wales trail returns, with a couple of new sections added in for good measure. It”s designed to be a progression to the more classic Afan trails but skill keeps its Red difficult grade status.

The Penhydd combines with the Blue Scar and climbs out of the Visitor Centre before splitting off to give a stunning trail mixing the old with the new. It combines forest road climbs with fantastic views, flowing singletrack descents and some new steeper sections looping back to the Visitor Centre.

The big climbs followed by technical descents mean that this trail can be demanding and you may be exposed to bad weather on higher ground.
